Child Development Background

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and have taken some courses towards a Masters degree. Following 14 years of teaching experience in the Philippines, I came to the U S and I started working in preschool from 1987 while taking courses in Early Childhood Education. I directed a preschool program for 10 years; however, I enjoy my role as a teacher. I have been with ABC Children's Center since 2004.

I like the feeling that a part of me becomes a child again sharing their smiles, laughter, uninhibited emotions and their playful ways to explore, discover, create and above all learn. I also like knowing that as a professional caregiver, I can make a difference in the lives of these children.

Hobbies & Interests

I enjoy reading which allows me to travel the world vicariously through different characters. Other hobbies I enjoy include cooking (especially trying new recipes), gardening, sewing and arts & crafts.
