When I crossed my street, I was asked ‘which street you live on?
When I crossed my neighborhood, I was asked ‘which high school I went to?
When crossed my city, I was asked me “where did you grow up?”
When I Cross my state, which language you speak?
When I crossed my country, I was asked me which culture I belong to?
The questions haunted my mind, and I used them to define myself. My reflections to those questions were :
I live on this earth,
My school is one filled with values, humbleness,
My city is filled with learning from diversity, challenges, relations and sustainable approaches
My language is one of connection, building bridges and inspirations
My country is where we are united in spirits and mind
My religion is Humanity.
My life’s purpose is to be known as “A human that inspired young minds and built bridges for others”.
Being a ‘human’ is my only identity- I related to and will relate to.
To use all my skills, time, and knowledge to inspire young children’s, I entered the ‘Childcare and Preschool’
program world through ABC Children’s Center a San Diego. The program is all about building bridges of
relationships and learns from diversity while providing top quality emotional, safety and learning needs for the
children, here in San Diego, located in Rancho Bernardo.
Since joining ABC as preschool teacher on June 11, 2015, I look forward each day to give the children in our community through ABC
program; the tools to use their voice, to believe in themselves and to take pride in their actions by:
Using voice for what is right.
Finding the strength to follow their voice.
Have freedom to be they
Smile to dream for their tomorrow.
It is in childhood values that we learn to lift ourselves and lift others with dignity. These are my thoughts
based on my reflections.
